VOCATIONAL COURSES for WOMEN

Rotary Club of Pudu working with YWCA are providing fully sponsored vocational placement for the underprivileged young Malaysian women to undergo a full academic term of Vocational Training at the YWCA. Successful applicants will be provided board and lodging at the YWCA as well as undergo a Vocational Training Course.

Course Information:
1. The duration of the course will be for a year from January to December, 2016

Scholarship - 2014 Korean Government Scholarship Program

1. Program Objective

- The Korean Government Scholarship Program is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students, with the aim of promoting international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship amongst the participating countries.

2. Main Notes for the 2014 Selection

- Applicants have to apply for this program via either an embassy or a designated university. Overseas Korean adoptees have to apply only via an embassy.

- The selection process for applicants will proceed in three steps. Firstly, applicants must be selected by the institution he or she is applying through (a Korean embassy, or a designated university). Secondly, applicants who passed the first round must be selected by the NIIED Selection Committee. Finally, applicants who passed the second round must gain admission from a university.

3. Duration of Scholarship

- Master's (01.09.2014 ~ 3.108.2017) : 1 yr. of Korean language + 2 yrs of Master's
- Doctoral (01.09.2014 ~ 31.08.2018) : 1yr. of Korean language + 3 yrs of Doctoral

Scholarship - Malaysian Rubber Export Promotional Council MREPC Scholarship Award

Koon Yew Yin Scholarship

All students, irrespective of race and religion who have secured a place to study for the foundation course in any of the public Universities, including UTAR, are eligible to apply for scholarships from the Koon Yew Yin Scholarship.

The scholarship provided will be sufficient to cover tuition fees and cost of living expenses for the one-year foundation course.

On successful completion of the foundation course, the students will be required to apply for the government PTPTN loan to complete the degree courses chosen by them.

Conditions:

1.Scholarships will only be given to needy students whose parents are earning less than RM2,000 per month. Students of any class, race and religion are welcome to apply.

2.Scholarship recipients after completion of their degree courses are not required to compensate in any way for the financial support received. The only condition is that they will have to promise to help other poor students when they themselves are financially secure and in a position to help the unfortunate and needy.

3.All applications should be sent to the address below with appropriate parents' salary or pay vouchers or other evidence of income as well as offer letters from the universities. For students with parents engaged in self-employment, a letter of reference from a school teacher or official on the financial status of the parents will be sufficient.
