After five successful programmes since 2008, TheMIND Association working together with Jabatan Tenaga Manusia and local communities in Perak and Kedah will be organizing a Seminar on Skills Training Program specifically under the ILP Program. This program will be conducted in Bahasa Melayu and Tamil. Representatives from ILP will be joining us. Details per below,

Target group : SPM leavers with minimum pass in Bahasa Melayu

Objective
-To encourage Indian students to enroll into ILP courses
-To motivate Indian students on importance of skill training program
-To encourage Indian students to pursue excellence through industrial training

Main Activities
-Series of explanatory talks by ILP representatives.
-Motivation talks by selected speakers.
-Sharing experience by ILP students
-Individual counseling prior to course selection.
-Online Registration for ILP courses

We will be supplementing the students with information regarding various Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) courses by ILP representatives. This program involves 3 phases, course briefing, on the spot counseling and completed by an online registration. ILP programmes were tailored in order to provide certificate courses on various industrial skills. Do assist to disseminate this information. The target group for this program might need personal touch to encourage them to attend this program and often they would not be connected via emails. Thus, please personally assist to spread this information with your family or friends whom you think might benefit from this program. This year we hope to encourage at least 50 SPM school leavers to attend this program at each location. We will have a team of PhD guys would be leaving to Perak and Kedah to assist our youngsters.

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia / SKM - JPK Intake 2013 -Pastri / Pastry

SEGi Training Center is conducting SKM / JPK course.
The details are as below:

A Brief Introduction

To train the youths of school leavers with skills in Pastry preparation and enable them to work as a supervisor in the Food Industry Food, Hospitality, Government, or even venture into entrepreneurship.

Students will be evaluated based on their appearance in terms of knowledge, skills, behavior, cleanliness, safety and ability to perform the practical work.

Through skills-based training, students who succeed will get the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) issued by the Department of Skill Development (JPK).

Certification

Students who successfully (skilled) in the Skills Training will be awarded the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) issued by the Department of Skill Development.

- Pembantu Penyedia Pastri (Commis Pastry) - Level 1 (L-110-1)
- Penyedia Pastri (Pastry Cook) - Level 2 (L-110-2)
- Ketua Seksyen Penyedia Pastri (Chef De Partie - Pastry)) - Level 3 (L-110-3)

Students who have completed the training will have the opportunity to obtain a career in the following work:

• Trainers in private colleges or public.

Malacca Industrial Skills Development Centre (MISDEC) is conducting WTTP programme. It is a 6 months course in theory and practical.
